Truss Designer – (Location: Ralston, WY)

Job Description: 

Optimize and generate clear, complete and accurate working plans and detail layout drawings based on architectural and engineering plans for the fabrication of roof/floor trusses and components. Knowledge of Alpine software required.

Customer demand will dictate longer hours and/or working Saturdays if needed. Consent to drug testing required.

Qualifications: 

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent, and 2-4 years related experience.
  • WTCA Level I or above
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general mechanical/technical procedures and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of truss production, code requirements, load design requirements and government regulations.
  • Knowledge of equipment used in plant and how to produce efficient cutting.
  • Working knowledge of Alpine software, Mitek roof & floor truss design software, Microsoft Office applications and applicable wall panel design/engineering software.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts (Probability, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry/Trigonometry).
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external customers.
