At BMC, the Remodel Sales Specialist assists contractor (repair/remodel) customers with order generation, by providing quotes and product specifications, both in person and over the phone. This individual is flexible and motivated to maximize the company's profitability, handling any special orders and advanced pricing and always keeping the best interest of the customer in mind. 

 

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Serve assigned Accounts and Contacts by facilitating orders, building relationships, learning customer needs, creating solutions that increase loyalty and sales revenue.
  2. Build and cultivate prospect relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communications in order to move opportunities through the sales funnel.
  3. Growth will be focused through counter relationship building, ecommerce, R&R permits coordinated by Sales Management, and various other resources.
    1. Maximize long – term relationships and expanded services.
  4. Primary channel through ecommerce website and tools focused on leads generation, permit cold calling, new account conversions, expanded product lines, and GM% increases.
  5. Maintain excellent customer service and adhere to “World Class Experience” guidelines.
  6. Support other Account Reps as needed to aid workflow and maintain excellent customer service.
    1. Participate in rotation to maintain and provide coverage on location cash and will call counters.
  7. Increase customer profitability by utilizing cross-selling and up-selling techniques.
  8. Achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly pipeline and forecast goals and define objectives that will enable you to meet revenue and GM% targets and budgets determined by Management.
  9. Achieve quota for number of contacts/activity/opportunities with prospective customers.
Qualifications: 
REQUIRED SKILLS
  1. Minimum Education required: High School Diploma or GED.
  2. Confidentiality requirement - Medium.
    1. Ability to operate computer, calculator & cash register.
    2. Knowledge of building supplies, applications, related equipment, and/or construction industry.
    3. Good interpersonal and customer relations skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
      1. Frequent telephone communications.
    4. Should be familiar with inventory and inventory control.
  3. Ability to frequently sit, walk, squat, stoop, and bend.
  4. Ability to lift 40 pounds from floor level to a standing position.
  5. Ability to drive and walk throughout yards, plants and offices.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  1. Minimum Experience: 1 year in building material industry with basic knowledge of product and application.
